My ultimate goal as an online shopper is to try any Japanese and Korean online shops and post a review as fast as possible, and now you’ll be getting a CDJapan.co.jp review from me.
Recently I ordered an anime magazine from their site just to give a try, before ordering something bigger. Just to make sure. I bought a magazine that costs 1,204 yen (equivalent to around 450php) you can see the order details right after you proceed to checkout. Shipping fee to Manila costs 1,110 yen for a magazine. But since I got points from them, and I have no any idea how and when (but I think from clicking something from their newsletter or something, not sure, but the important thing is the discount! Pretty cool, right?)

The shipping fee price was same as my points so it’s like my shipping fee was free. Lol.
So how should we start? I know everyone of us know about the first steps of ordering right? Sign up, search for the item you like, add to card then view cart. You will see the “Proceed to checkout” red button on the other side and you will asked to log-in again.
From your order summary page, you can edit your payment and shipping method of what is more convenient for you. Then continue, you will receive an email from them.
Mode of Payment
My mode of payment is my prepaid visa card (as usual) and I actually got rejected after I submitted my order not knowing that I have no enough funds on my bank account. After I fixed my card problem, I emailed them while my order was still pending that time. Fortunately, I received a confirmation from CDJapan the day after.
CDJapan has a different payment options and that’s somehow the one of reasons why you should choose them. They have PayPal (which Amazon Japan does not have), AliPay, Cash Sent via Registered Mail, where you will enclose your cash payment in an envelope and can be done through registering it our local post office or via different couriers like JRS Express, etc. This one is kinda stressful since you have to convert your Philippine peso to Japanese Yen, coins not allowed and rounding is a must. You can also choose IPMO or International Postal Money Order where you can pay your post office in Philippine peso and they will do the rest of conversion. Please take a note they will be an additional payment for this. Visit your nearest post office to find out the details.
Customer Service
The staffs are English-speaking and they reply so fast.
Shipping & Packaging
They shipped my item through EMS and I received my item after a week. Upon delivery, I was asked to pay 100php (around $2.50) by the delivery man and they asked me my signature. My magazine is placed inside the box and a bubble wrap.

So overall, I’m all satisfied and I could order again next time. They may not be fast like AmazonJP but I find them more cheaper than Amazon, though Amazon has still more selections.
